FLARE hacks its way...

Flare is an isometric RPG (like Diablo) written by Clint Bellanger. There's no 3D involved but it has some of the best art found on an open-source/GPL game type.

First version to be ported was 0.14. and it was been compiled for AROS i386 by Krzysztof Smiechowicz (Deadwood).

Update: Current version is 0.17 and has been compiled by Kioniro. (18/03/2013)

Release notes:
This release is all about wrapping the core gameplay in main menus, pushing Flare closer to feature-completeness. Now players have four game slots to experiment with different builds. Also, choose your gender and a portrait for your hero or heroine!

AROS Requirements:

- At least 256 MB of RAM
- sound configured in AHI

Known Issues:
0.17 - When loading a savegame, player sprite can sometimes disappear (lol) / Changing resolution or fullscreen may not be functional on gfx cards (not reported on VESA)

0.14 - Memory leak. Each time to load the map, 120 MBs of RAM is used. This memory is
not freed until you exit the game.
